The cell strucutre often needs to be slabstock foam to support the higher elasticity. This is achieved by a special type of foam stabilizer slabstock foam targets a good cell opening and a cell structure that supports the elasticity.

Viscoelastic slabstock foam Used in the production of mattresses, topper pads, and pillows, Viscoelastic foams are characterized by a delayed recovery after compression and very low elasticity ball rebound.

This installation has a conveyor belt  1 which is moved in the conveying direction 2. At the start of the conveyor belt 1 is a mixing head 3 above the conveyor belt 1.
The mixing head 3 serves to apply a reactive slabstock foam system to the surface slabstock foam the conveyor belt 1. The reactive chemical system is a foaming mixture, for example for the production of polyurethane foam.
The reactive chemical mixture expands on the conveyor belt  1, so that an expansion region with expanding foam slabstock foam is formed. Covering paper slabstock foam, which is fed via rolls 6, is applied to the foam surface.
Sensors  7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 are arranged above the expansion region.
